Session No. 59 Capitol Tues Night (11/6)

4/8: TP = -$60 TSP = 1 Hr
9/18: TP = +$240 TSP = 6 Hrs

I ran pretty bad most of the night....I know alot you are thinking, "well hey, didn't you make some money?" The answer is yes, but I basically won two monster pots (one a little more monster than the other) and that was it. I ran abysmal...and I don't know why. I missed a ton of multi-way draws (two of these were OE straight-flush draws with at least five players) and could have easily been up three or four racks of $3 chips had things gone better. The players playing tonight were pretty awful...like 3/6 Cache Creek players awful.

Here's a post I made on CP about this KK hand that flopped a set, boated up on the turn, and I got a ton of action. Good stuff.

This is a brag post...but tell me what you'd do on the turn.

Hero is in the Hijack with K :h: K :d:

Pre-flop:
3 Limpers?, Hero raises, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls, Limpers call

Flop: K :s: T :d: 3 :c: (6 Players)

Checks to hero, Hero bets, 4 callers, 1 fold :afro:

Turn: T :s: (5 Players)

Checks to Hero, Hero bets, Button calls, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 raises, Hero calls (This okay?) Button folds, BB folds, UTG 3-Bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero caps, UTG and UTG+1 call

Basically I didn't want to three bet this hand on the turn and drive away anyone drawing to the straight or the flush. I figured if I 3-Bet and get everyone else to fold except UTG+1, that would be kinda stupid since I already have a made hand...is this wrong? Unfortunately everyone behind me folded, but then UTG 3-Bet. Both of them obv have the ten now (or a smaller boat), so I just cap it and give away my hand now that there is so much money in the pot.

River: Blank.

Guys over at +1 seemed to like my play a little more than the guys over at CP. Will on CP said it best when he said, "no matter what, you're going to get paid off nicely." Still, I think going for the overcalls was the best play for that table at that time.
